This week I am teaching my very first Open Water Class. I have been an SCUBA instructor for over a month now, but this is the very first class that I am teaching All-By-Myself. I have assisted in several classes and taught sections of the class, and administered the open water dives, but because of scheduling I have not done a complete class all by myself. So this is an exciting week for me.
Yesterday was the first classroom session, and it went down with no problems. Well maybe just one, my voice hurt by the end of class. I am a talker, and don't mind doing it, but after three and a half hours, my voice was hurting! I am excited for tomorrow night to finish the classroom, and complete the pool work Friday night, and be diving in Lake Mead this weekend. It is a busy week for me, but I am doing something that I love!
Alright, the excitement of teaching a class by yourself for the very first time :-) Yes, when you truly love what you do, you can work through anything!

ReplyDeleteI think your a great scuba diver instructor, when you did your presentation today you sounded like you were training us. Oh how I wish! :) except diving with the sharks though! lol
ReplyDeleteAmber, Amber, Amber....You did a great job with your speech. You even had me ready to ready to take some Scuba lessons...until the Shark diving. Let me say this, your are way to brave for me. I'll skydive and several other dangerous things...but diving with sharks; Yeah not so much! LOL
